Observation on Therapeutic Effect of Jiawei Xiaoyao Powder Combined with Auricular Acupressure on Acute Detoxification of Methamphetamine Dependent Patients

Abstract：Objective:To observe the effect of Jiawei Xiaoyao Powder combined with auricular acupressure in the treatment of acute detoxification of methamphetamine dependent patients. Methods:Total 111 patients with methamphetamine dependent detoxification treated from June 2015 to February 2017 were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the admission time. The control group was given western medicjne for detoxification while the treatment group was given Jiawei Xiaoyao Powder combined with auricular acupressure besides the western medicine of the control group. The effect on detoxifica tion was observed. Results: The scores of HAMA, HAMD and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) withdrawal symptoms in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: The effect of Jiawei Xiaoyao Powder combined with auricular acupressure in the treatment of methamphetamine dependent patients during acute detoxification period was significant. This therapy can significantly improve the quality of acute detoxification, relieve the withdrawal symptoms of patients, and enable the patients to go through the acute detoxification period easily.
