Systematic Review of Efficacy and Safety of Jiuwei Zhenxin Granules in Treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Abstract：Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Jiuwei Zhenxin Granules in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Methods: Databases like PubMed, Cochrane library, CBM, CNKI, VIP and Wanfang were searched with computer to collect randomized clinical trials on Jiuwei Zhenxin Granules in the treatment of GAD. The quality assessment and data extraction were performed independently by two researchers. Meta-analysis was carried out by RevMan 5.3 software. Results: Sixteen studies with 1 677 participants were included. According to the meta-analysis results, compared to the control group, Jiuwei Zhenxin Granules showed no significant differences(P=0.11, P=0.65,respectively) on HAMA total score [SMD=-0.08, 95％C/(-0.18, 0.02) ] and effective rate [RR=0.99,95％C/(0.93,1.05) ], and showed lower adverse reaction incidence [=0.62, 95％CI(0.52, 0.74) ] with significant difference (P< 0.000 01). Conclusions Jiuwei Zhenxin Granules are effective for GAD with less adverse reaction.
