Experience by Professor ZHU Guiting on the Treatment of Post Stroke Depression

Abstract：Professor ZHU Guiting holds that stroke is the trigger for post-stroke depression, the root is phlegm blocking orifices with unsmooth brain collaterals, while the branch is emotional depression, unsmooth qi movement, and the disease mechanism is healthy qi deficiency, liver qi stagnation, phlegm blocking and blood stasis. He emphasizes syndrome differentiation, and in clinic, he hold that it is mainly of qi stagnation and blood stasis, yin deficiency and qi depression, qi deficiency and blood stasis, and should be treated with Chaihu Shugan powder, Dihuang Yinzi and Buyang Huanwu decoction. Besides, he also emphasizes physical exercise and psychological intervention. His experience of great clinical significance.
