Experience in Treating Type 2 Diabetes Complicated with Restless Leg Syndrome with Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction

Abstract：Through observation of patients with type 2 diabetes complicated with restless leg syndrome ,it is thought the main pathogenesis of the disease is yin deficiency and blood stasis. Modified Taohong Siwu De-coction is effective for this disease. This article discusses the basic pathogenesis of yin deficiency and blood stasis from three aspects:deficient yin causing dynamic wind,deficient blood failing to nourish and blood stasis causing blocked collaterals,and expounds the theoretical basis of Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction from three aspects:nourishing yin and liver,nourishing blood and promoting blood circulation,stopping en-dogenous wind and remove obstruction from collaterals. The treatment thought is illustrated by one clinical proved example.
