Clinical Study of Application of Three-Dimensional Printing of Small Splint in the Treatment of Colles' Fracture

Abstract：Objective:To explore the clinical effect of three-dimensional printing(3DP) printed small splint in the treatment of Colles' fracture. Methods:There were 60 hospitalized patients which were divided into the 3DP group and the traditional small splint group ,30 cases in each group. Each group was gvve corre-spondiug treatment. X-ray examination was conducted before resetting after resetting and 1 week after resetting, and the healing time was recorded. Visual analogue scale(VAS) score and swelling score before resetting,after resetting and 1 week after resetting were recorded. Wrist function was evaluated 3 months after resetting ac-cording to the modified Shea method. The safety was also evaluated. Results:There were no significant dif-ferences of healing time,VAS score,swelling score and wrist function between the two groups. The 3D print-ing of small splint could fix the fracture effectively which also had good clinical efficacy. No adverse reac-tion occurred during the treatment. Conclusion:The 3DP printed small splint in the treatment of Colles ' fracture shows good clinical effect,which is similar to the traditional small sprint,without obvious adverse re-actions and with high safety.
