Analysis of Consumptive Disease in Essentials from the Golden Cabinet Based on Yi Qi Zhou Liu

Abstract：Consumptive disease was first recorded in Essentials from the Golden Cabinet,and later medical experts held different viewpoints of its treatment. Therefore ,on the basis of the principles of The Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic,with Yi Qi Zhou Liu theory proposed by HUANG Yuanyu,the pulses,formulas and entries in Essentials from the Golden Cabinet were studied,in order to find the primary cause of consump-tive disease. In 8 formulas in Essentials from the Golden Cabinet,Guizhi Jia Longgu Muli decoction,Tianx-iong formula,Xiao Jianzhong decoction,Huangqi Jianzhong decoction,Bawei Shenqi pill,Shuyu pill,Suanzaoren decoction,Dahuang Zhechong decoction,middle qi is emphasized,and the treatment methods all correspond to Yi Qi Zhou Liu theory. The variations all depend on the origin ,and the clinical practice should be flexible. Doctors should understand the mechanism to deal with the variation.
