Clinical Study of Using Replenishing Essence and Tonifying Marrow Method to Treat Spastic Cerebral Palsy

Abstract：Objective:To study using replenishing essence and tonifying marrow method to treat spastic cere-bral palsy in clinic,and to develop a new method for spastic cerebral palsy. Methods:There were 300 pa-tients with spastic cerebral palsy aged 1～6 years were randomly divided into the treatment group and con-trol group,150 patients in each group. The control group was given acupuncture,athletic rehabilitation and herbal fumigation while the treatment group was given herbal agent for replenishing essence and tonifying marrow besides the treatment in the control group. The gross motor function ,muscle tension and the compre-hensive motor function were measured to evaluate the effect after 3 courses of treatment. Results:The clini-cal effect on the improvement of gross motor function,muscle tension and comprehensive motor function in the treatment of spastic cerebral palsy by replenishing essence and tonifying marrow was obvious. Conclu鄄sion:The method of replenishing essence and tonifying marrow of traditional Chinese medicine for spastic cerebral palsy should be further studied and be promoted in clinic.
