Study on Effect of Fangfeng Tongsheng Pills with Comprehensive Intervention for Antipsychotics Induced Weight Gain

Abstract：Objective:To study the clinical efficacy of Fangfeng Tongsheng pills combined with comprehensive intervention for antipsychotics induced weight gain. Methods:There were 108 patients with antipsychotics in-duced weight gain selected as the research object and divided into observation group and control group with the method of random number table,54 cases in each. Patients of the two groups continued to take antipsy-chotic drugs. The observation group were given Fangfeng Tongsheng pills combined with comprehensive in-tervention,while the control group were not treated,just followed. Then the treatment effects of the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 72.22％,which increased significantly compared with 22.22％ in the control group(P<0.01);body weight,BMI and waist circumference of the observation group after the treatment were significantly lower than those before the treatment(P<0.01), while there was no significant change in the control group(P>0.05);after the treatment,the BPRS scores of the two groups significantly decreased compared with those before the treatment(P<0.01);after the treatment, there was no significant difference in BPRS and TESS scores between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion:Fangfeng Tongsheng pills with comprehensive intervention can effectively reduce antipsychotics induced weight gain,with remarkable curative effect and safety.
