Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of the magnetic acupoint sticking combined with tamsu-losin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets in the treatment of chronic prostatitis. Methods:Ninety patients with chronic prostatitis were randomly divided into experimental and control group ,45 patients each group. In the experimental group, patients were given tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets in combina-tion with magnetic acupoint sticking, and the control group were only given tamsulosin hydrochloride sus-tained-release tablets. The treatment lasted for 2 weeks ,and patients were also given other integrated care interventions. After 2 weeks,National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI) scores, quality of life(QOL) scores and treatment effective rate were compared between two groups. Results:After treatment,in the experimental group,NIH-CPSI scores,QOL scores were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05). The effective rate in the treatment group and control group was 95.56% and 77.78%,respectively,with statistical difference(P<0.05). Conclusion:Magnetic acupoint sticking combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets can significantly improve clinical efficacy of treatment of chronic prostatitis. It should be promoted in clinic as a new integrated Chinese medicine and western medicine method.
