The Clinical Experience of Professor CHEN Xia in the Treatment of Obese Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Abstract：Professor CHEN Xia holds that the basic pathogenesis of obese patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is yang deficiency of spleen and kidneys as the root and phlegm dampness and blood sta-sis as the branch,and the latter is the final result of the former. In clinic,this disease usually involves dis-order of internal organs,disharmony of qi and blood,impairment of thoroughfare,concept,governor and belt vessels manifesting as the deficient root and excessive branch ,or mixed deficiency and excess ,a complicated condition. Therefore in clinic,the treatment should be tonifying spleen and invigorating spleen,resolving phlegm and removing stasis,regulating menstruation and promoting conception,and the Bushen Huatan formu-la is invented. Also at the same time,regulating menstruation method was applied by combing western medicine.
