Abstract：Professor HUANG Shixi is an expert good at treating herpes zoster by using filiform fire needle. The high temperature of filiform fire needle can kill herpes virus directly to expel the fire toxin with the strong and lasting effect. Moxibustion not only could promote scab forming but also relieve pain and inflam-mation through warming and unblocking. Cupping can directly pull out toxic substances around herpes to relieve pain and remove toxin and also can promote the local metabolism by removing stasis and generating new tissue. In warm needle moxibustion,acupuncture and moxibustion were integrated,for it could unblock the channels and collaterals through acupuncture and also could warm and unblock through moxibustion.
