YANG Zhixu's Experience in Treatment of Globus Hystericus

Abstract：Teacher YANG Zhixu thinks that emotional factor is the main cause of globus hystericus.The globus hystericus is closely related to the dysfunction of the liver and it is also associated with dysfunctions of other viscera such as the lung,the heart,the spleen,the stomach and so on.The main pathogenesis of globus hystericus is liver depression,qi stagnation and phlegm accumulation.The principles of treatment should be promoting qi movement and relieving depression,eliminating heat and resolving phlegm and keeping a good emotion.Teacher YANG treated globus hystericus by self-made Xiaomei Jieyu formula which has achieved remarkable effect.A medical record of one case is listed in the paper for support.
