Abstract:Objective:To evaluate primary hypertension of profuse phlegm dampness treated and prevented by chronic disease management protocol with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine. Methods:There were 298 patients with primary hypertension of profuse phlegm dampness randomly were divided into experimental group and control group. After 6 months of treatment management, before and after treatment, blood pressure, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) pattern score, and life style were recorded as well as the hypertension complications after chronic disease management. Results:After the treatment,on systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and the pattern score both groups showed obvious improvement, with statis-tical difference(P<0.05). On systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and pattern score and lifestyle changes, the experimental group was better than the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05). Conclu-sion:Chronic disease management protocol with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine could significantly reduce blood pressure in the patients with hypertension of profuse phlegm dampness ,and im-prove hypertension control rate and patient self-management skills.
