Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of midnight-noon ebb-flow acupuncture based on indi-vidual timing for post-stroke shoulder pain. Methods:Ninety patients with post-stroke shoulder pain were ran-domized into treatment group and control group,45 in each group. The treatment group was intervened by midnight-noon ebb-flow acupuncture based on individual timing, while the control group was by midnight-noon ebb-flow needling method based on local solar time. Ten-day treatment as a treatment course, and the clini-cal efficacies were observed after three treatment courses. Results:In the treatment group, the recovery rate and total efficacy rate were 44.44% and 88.89% respectively, and in the control group, they were 26.67% and 82.22% respectively. There was a significant difference on the recovery rate between the treatment group and control group(P<0.05). The total efficacy in the treatment group was not statistically different from that in the control group(P>0.05). Conclusion:Midnight-noon ebb-flow acupuncture is an effective method in treating post-stroke shoulder pain.
