Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with early enteral nutri-tion on postoperative rehabilitation, inflammatory reaction and immune function in patients treated with radical surgery for gastric cancer. Methods:Sixty patients with gastric cancer were randomly divided into the obser-vation group and the control group. After the operation, patients in the control group were treated with early enteral nutrition, while in the observation group patients were given neostigmine injection into zu san li(ST 36) plus enteral Siwu decoction plus early enteral nutrition. Postoperative rehabilitation(restoration time of bowel sounds, anus exhaust and defecation and hospitalization duration),inflammatory reaction index (IL-6 and TNF-α) and immune function index(IGA,IgM,IgG and CD4+/CD8+) were compared between the two groups. Results:Restoration time of bowel sound, anus exhaust and defecation, hospitalization duration in the observation group were significantly less than those in the control group(P<0.05). The contents of IL-6 and TNF-α 7 days after operation in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the con-trol group(P<0.05). The levels of IgA,IgM,IgG and CD4+/CD8+ 7 days after operation in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine combined with early enteral nutrition could effectively promote postoperative recovery, inhibit inflammatory re-action and improve immune function in patients with radical operation for gastric cancer.
