Effect of Anti-Inflammatory and Immunologic Mechanism on Rats with Arthritis Treated with Maqianzi and Sumu

Abstract：Objective:To discuss the anti-inflammatory and immunologic mechanism on rats with adjuvant arthritis(AA) treated with Maqianzi and Sumu,and to determine the optimized ratio of Maqianzi to Sumu. Methods:AA model rats were given decoction of Maqianzi and Sumu with different ratio through gavage for 32 days. Synovial tissue was under pathological examination. Changes of interleukin-1β,-6,10 (IL-1β,IL-6, IL-10),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),circulating immune complex(CIC),C reactive protein(CRP) in serum were tested through ELISA,and mRNA expression of IL-1β,IL-10,TNF-α were detected through polymerase chain reaction(PCR). Results:Maqianzi and Sumu combined together in different ratio could obviously reduce the content of IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α,CIC,CRP,decrease the expression level of IL-1β and increase IL-10. Con-clusion:Maqianzi and Sumu in combination had certain anti-inflammatory function,through suppressing in-flammatory cytokines,and the optimized ratio was 1 to 6.
