The Laws of Syndrome Differentiation and Prescription in Headache Treatment by ZHANG Zhenyu

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the laws of syndrome differentiation and prescription in headache treatment by ZHANG Zhenyu based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) inheritance support platform system. Methods:Total 274 formulas for headache treated by ZHANG Zhenyu were selected. These formulas and the corre-sponding syndrome differentiation were input into TCM inheritance support system and were analyzed to find out the prescription laws by using data mining in the system. Results:Liver qi rebellion is the major syn-drome. There were 110 herbs applied in these formulas,the frequency of each herb,herbal pair and core combination were determined,8 new formulas were developed after analysis. Conclusion:ZHANG Zhenyu treated headache mainly through regulating liver qi and reversing rebellion,which indicated that all disease could be treated from liver,and provide a new theoretical basis and abundant experience on headache treat-ment of TCM.
