Experience on the Application of Baizhu to Treat Anorectal Diseases

Abstract：In traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),anorectal disease should be treated internally and external-ly,depending on the disease mechanism. Baizhu is applied to treat swollen and sag of anus,slow wound healing,blood stool due to qi deficiency,slow transit constipation after anorectal operation for its function to tonify qi and supplement spleen. Baizhu also is used to treat dysuria,diarrhea due to spleen deficiency and so on after anorectal operation for its function to dry dampness and promote urination. Anorectal diseases are closely related to spleen deficiency and excessive dampness. Baizhu exert its effect through bidirectional regulation. Following the principle by ZHANG Zhongjing ,herbs can exert effect maximally through sensible combination.
