Clinical Study on Prevention of Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infections in Children with Fanggansan Sachet

Abstract：Objective:To discuss the effect of Fanggansan sachet for the prevention of recurrent respiratory tract infections in children. Method:A multi-center,randomized and parallel control trial was conducted with 384 cases of children with recurrent respiratory tract infections ,192 cases in the treatment group and the control group,respectively. The two groups were observed on the numbers of respiratory tract infections in 1 year,disease manifestation,improvement of lung and spleen qi deficiency syndrome and changes of SIgA in saliva and other indexes. Result:The numbers of respiratory tract infections in 1 year are significantly re-duced(P<0.001). Disease manifestation,lung and spleen qi deficiency syndrome are improved(P<0.05). SIgA levels in saliva obviously increased(P<0.001). Conclusion:Fanggansan sachet has certain preventive effect on children with recurrent respiratory tract infection.
