Effect Observation of Treating Erectile Dysfunction with Acupoint Application of Guilu guben Plaster

Abstract：Objective:To observe clinical efficacy of erectile dysfunction(ED) treated with acupoint application of Guilu Guben plaster. Methods:There were 92 patients with ED randomly divided into the treatment group with 47cases and the control group with 45 cases. In the treatment group ,patients were treated with Guilu Guben plaster on shen que(RN 8),guan yuan(RN 4) and shen shu(BL 23),and in the control group,pa-tients were given oral administration of film-coated tablets of tadalafil. A therapeutic course was of 4 weeks , and the observation lasted for 3 course. The score of the international index of erectile function (IIEF-5) questionnaire,times of unsuccessful and successful intercourse were observed. Results:In the treatment group, 8 cases were cured,19 cases were of obvious effect,15 cases were improved,5 cases were of no effect,with the total efficacy of 89.4%;in the control group,3 cases were cured,15 cases were of obvious effect,17 cas-es were improved,6 cases were of no effect,and 4 cases were excluded,with the total efficacy of 85.4%. The two groups showed no difference on efficacy,scores of IIEF-5 questionnaire and successive rate of intercourse were statistical significant (P>0.05),but showed difference on follow-up result were statistical significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:The effect of treating ED with acupoint application of Guilu Guben plaster was satisfactory.
