Abstract:Both Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and western medicine have advantages in the treatment of primary cutaneous amyloidosis(PCA). Based on syndrome differentiation,long-term effect of internal thera-pies of TCM is good, and external therapies of TCM include fumigating and steaming, cotton moxibustion and body membrane, with the advantage of convenient application, less side effect and low recurrence rate. West-ern medical therapies usually involve glucocorticoid (GCS),tretinoin, cyclophosphamide (CTX),tacrolimus (Tac) and physiotherapy. The target effect is obvious and good short term effect ,but the toxic and side effect is obvious with high recurrence rate. Integrated Chinese and western treatment can overcome the disadvantages of each other, reduce toxic and side effect and improve curative effect. Integrated Chinese and western treat-ment for PCA is practical and feasible and should be promoted.
