Abstract：Research shows that trace elements in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) paly an indispensable role for the therapeutic effect. Trace elements are important for the research ,and should be emphasized. In order to provide the basis for further research of trace elements in TCM,in this paper,the commonly used detection methods and its data processing and application for trace elements in TCM was summarized. The principle and feature of each detection method was introduced and evaluated ,data processing with concrete examples was also introduced,and research on the application of trace elements was also discussed. The ref-erences include 58 papers.
