Protective Effect of Jiawei Tianxiong Powder on Seminal Plasma Injury Induced by Oxidative Damage in Patients with Asthenospermia

Abstract：Objective:To observe the effect and mechanism of Jiawei Tianxiong powder on seminal plasma in-jury induced by oxidative damage in patients with asthenospermia. Methods:There were 120 patients random-ly divided into 4 groups:control group,Jiawei Tianxiong powder group,tonifying kidney group,tonifying spleen group,30 cases in each group. Besides there were 30 healthy volunteers with normal semen. Three months after treatment,semen quality and seminal plasma SOD and MDA levels were examined. Results:After the treatment,the percentage of grade A and grade A+B sperm were improved obviously in the Jiawei Tianxiong group ( P<0 . 01 ) . Compared with the healthy volunteers , patients with asthnospermia showed obviously low seminal plasma SOD level and high seminal plasma MDA level. After the treatment ,seminal plasma SOD level was increased and seminal plasma MDA level was decreased with significant statistical difference. Con-clusion:Jiawei Tianxing powder can improve the antioxidant ability in seminal plasma ,and reduce seminal plasma MDA level. Therefore it could enhance the sperm vitality.
