Effects of Emotional Homeopathic Psychotherapy on Depression and Life Quality of Patients with Ischemic Cerebral Stroke

Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of emotional homeopathic psychotherapy on depression and life quality of patients with ischemic cerebral stroke.Methods:A total of 68 patients with depression after ischemic cerebral stroke were randomly divided into intervention group and control group,with 34 cases in each group.The intervention group was treated with emotional homeopathic psychotherapy on the basis of conventional treatment.The effect was evaluated by Hamilton depression(HAMD) scale and 36-item short-form (SF-36) 3 weeks before and after treatment.Results:After treated by emotional homeopathic psychotherapy,the HAMD score of the intervention group (15.46±2.78) was obviously lower than that of the control group (19.70±2.99) and the SF-36 score of the intervention group was significantly higher than that of the control group.The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The emotional homeopathic psychotherapy can significantly reduce depression and improve the life quality of the patients.
