ZHANG Fuli’s Experience in Treating Impaired Glucose Tolerance by Elimination of Pathogens through Purgation and Diuresis Method

Abstract：According to the characteristics that impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) is related to addiction to alcohols and cigarettes,overeating fat and sweet things and sedentary life styles,ZHANG Fuli concludes that dysfunction of triple energizer in transport,phlegm,heat,dampness,and blood stasis are the main causes of IGT. So he takes elimination of dampness and heat in triple energizer by purgation and diuresis as the main method for treatment and uses modified Wendan decoction in clinic ,which has achieved good curative effect.
