Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect of combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine on severe pain in advanced pancreatic cancer. Methods:A total of 28 cases of advanced pancreatic cancer were divided into treatment group and control group by the random number table. The control group was given oxycodone hydrochloride and morphine hydrochloride injection to control cancer pain. The treat-ment group,on basis of the treatments of the control group, was added Chinese medical therapy. The obser-vation period was 14 days. After 14 days ,the curative effects of the two groups were evaluated according to the changes of their scores of the numerical rating scale (NRS). Results:The NRS scores of the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment. The difference was statistically significant (P=0.000). After treatment, the NRS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group and the difference was statistically significant (P=0.014). The total effective rate of the treatment group was 100% and the control group was 64.29%. The curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group and the difference was statistically significant (P=0.041). Conclusion:Combination of tra-ditional Chinese and western medicine has definite curative effect on severe pain in advanced pancreatic cancer.
