Experience of Professor LIU Ruifen on Treating Bleeding of Metrorrhagia and Metrostaxis

Abstract：After decades of years,professor LIU Ruifen accumulates rich experience in theoretical research and clinical practice. Based on the feature of disease mechanism,"deficiency,blood stasis and heat combined together",following the principle,"tonifying the deficiency,attacking the retained,and clear the heat",she us-es resolving stasis,clearing heat,tonifying qi and nourishing yin method to prescribe the formula to stop bleeding. Her experiences could be summarized as follows:unblock to stop bleeding,and unblock the root to consolidate the branch;attack with tonifying to treat both deficiency and excess;prevent disease development after occurrence and prevent transmission after occurrence;use Dihuang with flexibility;treat based on syn-drome differentiation,and combine traditional Chinese medicine with western medicine;hold to wholism,and pay attention to psychological therapy.
