Clinical Observation of Preventment and Treatment of Neurotoxicity Induced by Oxaliplatin with Chinese Medicine Foot Bath Therapy

Abstract：Objective:To explore the clinical curative effect of Chinese medicine foot bath therapy on neuro-toxicity induced by oxaliplatin. Methods:Sixty patients diagnosed as colorectal cancer were divided into treat-ment group and control group according to random number table ,with 30 cases in each group. All patients in the two groups received radical resection and improved FOLFOX regimen chemotherapy. The treatment group was treated by Chinese medicine foot bath and the control group was treated with warm water foot bath. The incidence of neurotoxicity and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed. Results:The to-tal incidence of neurotoxicity of the treatment group was 13.3% and the control group was 30%. The treat-ment group was significantly lower than the control group and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Both the two groups had no obvious adverse reactions. Conclusion:Chinese medicine foot bath is safe and effective in preventment and treatment of neurotoxicity induced by oxaliplatin. It is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
