Abstract:Objective:To find out a new method or model under the guidance of Chinese medicine theory for the prevention and treatment of Qi-deficiency type stroke patients. Methods:180 cases of patients were ran domly divided into four groups,45 cases in each group. Group A(high fat diet group):Diet total calories to maintain>125.58 kJ//kg daily;Group B(low exercise group):Require the patients exercise 5~10 minutes every time,2~3 times per day. Group C(high calorie diets and low exercise group):Take the type of intervention including A and B.Group D(Western medicine health education group):Total calories does not exceed 83.72 kJ/kg daily. Rehabilitation exercise at least 30 minutes each time ,3 times a day. Observation indexes in-clude:Qi-deficiency syndrome integral, neural function evaluation, life ability evaluation, analysis of blood lipids, complications, hospital readmission and mortality before and after the intervention. Then statistical analysis was done. Results:①2 years later, the Qi-deficiency syndrome integral and nerve function scores of group C were significantly different compared with the other groups.②The readmission rate and complications in group C lessen than in group D. ③The level of blood lipid of four groups had no statistical difference before and after treatment. Conclusion:Health education of using high calorie diet and low amount of exer-cise can better improve the clinical symptoms, signs and activities of daily living, improve patient satisfaction, reduce the readmission rate and complications. High calorie diet did not lead to abnormal metabolism of lipid.
