Effect Observation of Dry-eye Syndrome Treated with Zengye Decoction

Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of dry-eye syndrome treated with Zengye decoction.Meth-ods:Sixty cases ( 120 eyes ) of the patients with dry-eye syndrome were divided into the Chinese medicine treatment group 30 cases (60 eyes) and the topical artificial tears (Etude tears) group 30 cases (60 eyes). The patients of the Chinese medicine treatment group were treated with Zengye decoction. The patients of the topical artificial tears group were treated with dropping Etude tears. Results:The effective rate was 86.67%! in the Chinese medicine treatment group,and the Etude tears group with 66.67%,and the differences had significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). Break-up time of tears(BUT),cornea fluorescent pigmentation(FL) and eye symptom score,except for schirmer I test(SIT),were extreme significant differences in the Chinese medicine treatment group after treatment(P<0.01). Compared with the Etude tears group, there were extreme significant differences on BUT,FL,and eye symptom score(P<0.01). Conclusion:Treating dry-eye syndrome with Zengye decoction has preferably effect.
