Abstract:Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of embedding protein thread in acupoints on improving motor function of children with cerebral palsy. Methods:Ninety patients who met the inclusion criteria of child cerebral palsy were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to their visiting time. Each group had 45 cases. The treatment group adopted embedding protein thead plus comprehensive rehabilitation therapy and the control group only adopted comprehensive rehabilitation treatment. The treat-ment lasted for 3 months. Before and after treatment ,children in both the 2 groups were assessed with gross motor function measure. Results:After treatment,in the treatment group,14 cases were markedly effective,29 cases were effective,2 cases were invalid, the total effective rate was 95.5%(43/45). In the control group,9 cases were markedly effective,27 cases were effective,9 cases were invalid, the total effective rate was 80%(36/45). There was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). After treatment, the gross motor function measure scores of the treatment group and the control group was respectively 38.49+4.81 and 27.35+4.66. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:Embedding protein thread in acupoints can promote the recovery of function of children with cerebral palsy.
