Abstract：This paper has expounded the essence of lung collaterals ,summarized the physiological characters and function of lung collaterals,and analyzed the relevance between diseases of lung collaterals and idio-pathic pulmonary fibrosis,and retrospectively summarized and discussed how to treat idiopathic pulmonary fi-brosis based on the theory of collaterals ,and provided new ideas and theoretical basis for treatment of idio-pathic pulmonary fibrosis.
