Treatment of 60 Cases of Phase Ⅲ Diabetic Nephropathy by Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine

Abstract：Objective:To observe the efficacy of Tangshen formula combined with Valsartan treating phase Ⅲdiabetic nephropathy(DN). Methods:Sixty DN patients were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,and 30 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received Valsartan. Based on the treatment for the control group,patients in the treatment group were treated with Tangshen formula orally. The treatment course lasted for 12 weeks. The improvement of TCM syndrome ,β2-microglobulin and urinary albumin were compared in both groups. Results:The total effective rate in the treatment group was 86.7%, which was 63.3% in the control group respectively ,there was significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). There were high statistical significance in the TCM syndrome,β2-microglobulin and urinary albumin before and after the treatment,compared with the control group,those also had high statistical significance (P<0.01). Conclusion:Tangshen formula combined with Valsartan showed better effect than western medicine treatment alone in treating phase Ⅲ diabetic nephropathy(DN).
