Abstract：Lonicera japonica Thunb. is the original plant of flos lonicerae ,a commonly used traditional Chi-nese medicine. It is cultivated in Shandong ,Henan and other places in large-scale and has important social , economic and ecological value. It has been introduced to many regions so far. To ensure the successful in-troduction and desired efficiency ,it is necessary to master the habits of the plant. In this article the research progress in this field is summarized ,including the natural distribution of Lonicera japonica Thunb. and its adaptability to temperature,light,moisture,humidity,soil,topography and biological competition.
