Effect Observe of the Elasticity of the Blood Vessels of Elderly Patients with Chronic Stable Angina Treated with Changyuan Decoction

Abstract：Objectives:To observe the effect of changyuan decoction in improving the vascular elasticity of el-derly patients with chronic stable angina. Methods:The patients meeting the criteria for research were divided into treatment group and control group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, while the treatment group was treated with routine western medicine and changyuan decoction. Then the difference of the effect,brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity(baPWV),artery elasticity index(C1) and small artery elastic-ity index ( C2 ) , and the blood lipid level between the two groups were compared . Results:There 60 cases completing the experiment,with the rate of lost to follow-up 4.76%. Through the comparison,it was found that 8 weeks after the treatment,compared with the control group, in treatment group, the total effective rate was high(P<0.05),the baPWV was small(P<0.05),C1and C2 were low(P<0.05),and the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol level was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions:Changyuan decoction has obvious advantage in curative effects and the improvement on the vascular elasticity of elderly patients with chronic stable angina of phlegm and stasis blocking collaterals.
