Discussion of Gynecological Diseases Based on the “Simultaneous Treatment of Liver and Spleen”

Abstract：Simultaneous treatment of liver and spleen originated from The Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic, and according to women’s constitutional characteristics,ZHANG Zhongjing developed this treatment as the fundamentals of gynecological diseases. The liver is the organ to store blood ,and the spleen is the source of qi and blood. The liver and spleen in coordination ensures smooth blood circulation and harmonization of thoroughfare vessel and conception vessel,which guarantees the regular menstruation,normal pregnancy,labor and lactation. The liver and spleen not in coordination would lead to stagnation or deficiency of qi and blood,disharmony of thoroughfare vessel and conception vessel,and irregular menstruation. So treatment should be soothing liver and invigorating spleen ,pacifying liver and tonifying spleen to regulate menstruation and leukorrhea,nourish the fetus,prevent abortion,and promote postpartum recovery.
