30 Cases of Insomnia Treated with Ningxin Anmian Formula

Abstract：Objective:To observe efficacy and safety of Ningxin Anmian formula treating insomnia. Method:Sixty patients with insomnia due to liver depression and blood stasis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 30 cases in each group;the therapeutic rate,diazepam doses,and percentage of diazepam withdrawal were observed. Results:The effect in treatment group was better than that in control group , and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0 . 05). Differences between the two groups on beginning period of sleep , time of awaking , and sleep time were statistically significant ( P<0 . 05), and difference between the two groups on diazepam withdrawal was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions:Ningxin Anmian formula treating insomnia is safe and effective.
