Abstract：This article deals with the origin and development of vesicated moxibustion Vesicated moxibustion is at first recorded in the book,Fifty-two Kinds of Diseases in the Warring States Period,laid a foundation from the book,A Handbook of Prescriptions for Emergencies in the Jin Dynasty,known as medicinal vesiculation in the book,Classic Fundamentals of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of Song Dynasty, and broadly used in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.In the near ten years,there is a better curative effect in the moxibustion with herbs on the Du channel in treating autoimmune diseases,and new achievements are acquired in the clinical and appiled basis study,which provides a scientific basis for revealing the mechanism of vesicated moxibustion on the Du channel(Du Jiu,Du-channel moxibustion).
