Abstract:Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors(SGLT2i)are a novel oral hypoglycemic agents with good cardio-vascular protective effect.Multiple studies have evidenced that SGLT2i can significantly reduce the risk of heart failure,car-diovascular death, and delay the progression of chronic kidney disease.Recent studies have found that SGLT2i can reduce the occurrence and progression of arrhythmia. However, the role of SGLT-2i against arrhythmias and its exact mechanism are not fully elucidated. This paper aimed to summarize the existing evidence from basic studies and clinical reports,in order to further explore the anti-arrhythmic mechanism of SGLT2i and provide a new direction for the prevention and treatment of arrhythmias.
