Abstract：Extended-release pellets tablets have received widespread attention because of the advantages of fewer ad-ministration times,good patient compliance and higher drug bioavailability.Howe ver,the functional coating film is easily bro-ken after being pressurized,resulting in faster drug release rate,which limits the application of extended-release pellets tab-lets.Therefore,reducing the degree of coating film damage has become a technical difficulty in the development of extended-release pellets tablets.In this paper,we summarized the latest research progress of extended-release pellets tablets,and in-troduce the key factors affecting the integrity of the functional coating film.Meanwhile,we also summarized the latest methods to reduce the damage of the coating film of the extended-release pellets during compressing.This paper can be used as a reference for researchers to develop extended-release pellets tablets.
