Multi-target mechanisms and recent advances in the anti-cancer effects of gallic acid

Abstract：Cancer is a major threat to human health,with traditional treatments limited by immune evasion and drug re-sistance.Thus,developing new therapies is essential.Gallic acid(GA),a polyphenolic compound,inhibits tumor proliferation,induces apoptosis,regulates epigenetics,and modulates the tumor microenvironment,demonstrating significant potential in cancer therapy.Advances in nano delivery systems,organoid technology,and gut microbiota research further sup-port its clinical translation.This review summarized GA's anti-cancer mechanisms and recent progress,providing a foundation for its clinical development.
