Research progress on the anti-tumor effect of Ginseng

Abstract：Ginseng is known as the"King of Herbs"and is a traditional Chinese medicinal material with rich medicinal value.It is widely used in the prevention and treatment of diseases.Modern research shows that various components of Ginseng have a good inhibitory effect on the proliferation of many malignant tumor cells,among which the main components include ginsenosides,Ginseng polysaccharides,Ginseng proteins,etc.Moreover,Ginseng can be used as an adjunctive treatment method in clinical practice,in combination with surgeries,radiotherapy,chemotherapy and other treatments.In addition,Ginseng has advantages such as multi-target synergy,low toxicity,and reversal of drug resistance in anti-tumor treatment.Therefore,Ginseng has demonstrated unique value in the comprehensive treatment of tumors.Its characteristic of"supporting the body's resistance and eliminating pathogenic factors"is highly consistent with modern tumor treatment concepts.With the deepening of research,it is expected to develop more targeted adjuvant treatment plans for tumors.This article reviewed the anti-tumor components of Ginseng,the anti-tumor effects of Ginseng in various cancers,and the application of Ginseng's anti-tumor effects in prescriptions by consulting a large number of literatures,hoping to provide references and basis for further research and development of Ginseng.
