Abstract:Pain is known as the fifth major vital sign of human beings, and postoperative pain is one of the most com-mon types of pain.Effective management of postoperative pain can reduce the burden on patients and improve their quality of life.Opioids are the cornerstone of pain medication, but their clinical application is limited by respiratory depression and tol-erance.The analgesic effects of the novel μ-receptor agonists oliceridine and tegileridine are comparable to morphine, and the incidence of opioid related adverse reactions is low. They are currently the new analgesics for the treatment of moderate to severe postoperative pain without alternative therapies, and can be safely used for postoperative pain management. This article will review the efficacy of this type of medication in clinical studies of moderate to severe postoperative pain and ex-plore related adverse reactions,in order to provide guidance for clinical use.
