Abstract:The dorsal raphe nucleus(DRN)is located ventral to the aqueduct of the midbrain, with numerous cell types, complex neural circuits, and a wide range of functions. In recent years, studies have found that DRN may be involved in the regulation of neuropsychiatric processes such as sleep-wakefulness,anxiety,depression,and addiction. This article re-viewed the role and molecular mechanism of DRN-related neural circuits in different neuropsychiatric diseases,in order to provide new ideas for subsequent treatment.
