Research progress on factors affecting the quality of Eucommia ulmoides

Abstract：Eucommia ulmoides is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine in clinical practice,with a high market demand.At present,there is a shortage of wild resources,and most of the Eucommia ulmoides products circulating in the market are artificially cultivated.Drug quality is the foundation and guarantee of safe and effective clinical medication,but there are significant differences in the quality of Eucommia ulmoides in the market.Therefore,the systematic exposition of the factors that affect the quality changes of Eucommia ulmoides is extremely important for ensuring the yield and quality of Eu-commia ulmoides and formulating quality standards for Eucommia ulmoides.This article reviewed the research results on germplasm resources,differences in origin,harvesting time,processing methods in origin,and processing methods,providing a basis for controlling the quality of Eucommia ulmoides and formulating grading standards.
