Research progress on food allergic and its anti-allergy immunotherapeutic

Abstract：Allergic disease is one type of chronic and pathogenic disease that can potentially be life-threatening.The prevalence of allergic diseases has significantly increased during the past decades.Effective prophylactic and therapeutic strategies to combat allergic conditions are still lacking except for intentional avoidance and timely treatment upon allergen exposure.Food allergy(FA)is a major type of allergic disease.There is a growing number of studies on the development of novel therapeutics against FA and in-depth investigations into the mechanism of action.In this article,we summarized several key aspects of FA with particular focus on the recent advances in the development of anti-FA immunotherapeutic.
