Morphological and microscopic identification of Goodyera schlechtendaliana and its three related species

Abstract：Objective To identify the crude drugs of Goodyera schlechtendaliana and three related plants,including G.biflora,G.repens and G.yangmeishanensis.Methods The pharmacognostical identification method was used to observe the o-riginal plant,tissue structure and microscopic characteristics of G.schlechtendaliana and three related species.Results The differences in tissue structure and microscopic characteristics between G.schlechtendaliana and its related plants are small,but the differences in original plant characteristics are more obvious.These plants can be identified by the characteristics of leaves(upper epidermis and lower epidermis color,leaf veins)and flowers(size and color)combined with the identification points of stems and other parts.Conclusion This study can provide useful reference for the identification research and quality standard revision of medicinal plants of G.schlechtendaliana and its related species.
