Abstract:Objective To study the chemical constituents and antioxidant activity in vitro of the extracts of Potentilla anserine. Methods The decocted extract and 50%ethanol extract were prepared. The contents of total flavonoids and total polysaccharides were determined by UV spectrophotometry. The antioxidant activities of the extracts were determined by DP-PH free radical scavenging test and hydroxyl radical scavenging test. The components of the extract were analyzed by UPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap MS technique. Results The contents of total flavonoids and total polysaccharides in alcoholic extract were higher than those in aqueous extract, and the antioxidant activity of alcoholic extract was better than that of aqueous extract.64 compounds were identified by liquid analysis, mainly flavonoids, triterpenes and organic acids. Conclusion The contents of total flavonoids total polysaccharide and antioxidant activity of Potentilla anserina with different extraction methods are quite different.Through further analysis of the ethanol extract,we hope to provide some basis for the further development and utilization of Tibetan medicine fern hemp resources.
