Research status of Astragalus radix anti-inflammatory efficacy analysis based on CiteSpace and VOS viewer knowledge graph

Abstract：Objective To use CiteSpace and VOSviewer knowledge atlas to visualize the research status of Astragalus radix anti-inflammatory effect and provide reference for the research of astragalus radix anti-inflammatory effect.Methods Using"Astragalus radix"and"anti-inflammatory"as the subject search terms,the Chinese and English literatures were retrieved from CNKI and Web of Science set databases,respectively.CiteSpace,VOSviewer,and Excel software are used to visually analyze the number of Chinese and English documents,authors,publishing institutions,citation frequency and key-words.Results A total of 386 valid literatures were included.The number of annual publications on the anti-inflammatory effect of Astragalus radix showed an overall increasing trend.Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chinese Academy of Sciences ranked first in the number of Chinese and English literature publications,respectively.The authors with the most publications are Zhang Xuemei and Dean Guo,respectively.The co-occurrence and clustering of keywords showed that the research focuses on the anti-inflammatory pharmacological action and mechanism of astragaloside Ⅳ and astragalus polysaccharide.Conclusion The number of published papers about the treatment of Astragalus radix for inflammation in-creases annually,and its research hotspots mainly focus on astragaloside Ⅳ and astragalus polysaccharide.
