Abstract：Opioid serve as essential medications for managing advanced cancer pain.The in vivo metabolism of opioid primarily relies on drug-metabolizing enzymes,with genetic polymorphism being the primary determinant of enzyme variabil-ity in drug metabolism.The correlation between opioid and gene polymorphisms of drug metabolism enzymes has been exten-sively investigated in recent years.Opioid metabolism in vivo,transport efficiency,and gene polymorphisms of drug metabo-lism enzymes are intricately interconnected,with allelic nucleotide sequence variations potentially leading to significant in-terindividual differences.Therefore,a comprehensive and in-depth investigation into the correlation between opioid and ge-netic polymorphisms of drug metabolism enzymes based on genomics will facilitate clinicians in achieving precision medi-cine.
